Bison Hunting in Texas
$2,500, mature brown male
$15,000, mature white male
Valhalla Ranch allows hunters the opportunity to hunt a trophy bison in Texas in a beautiful setting.
Bison are a tough, rugged animal, requiring a very large caliber rifle to take down. Hunters can expect to shoot, at minimum, a full lead leaver action 45-70 which we can provide for a traditional bison hunt feel, or one of our larger caliber rifles such as the .338 Lapua Magnum, or the larger .50 caliber. While not hard to find, as they’re the size of a sedan on the plains and roaming in a large herd, shot placement is very important. Many bison have shrugged off a shoulder shot from a .338 Lapua, putting the pressure on the hunter to make a clean and ethical shot.
The trophy bison at Valhalla Ranch weigh upwards of 2,000lbs, making them the top of the list for hunters looking to stock their freezer with delicious organic meat.

White Bison
White bison are a rarity and are treasured in many communities. Only a select few ranches can offer such a large selection of white bison, as they’re difficult to find the proper genetics for. Here at Valhalla, we have been fortunate enough to raise a large white bison herd.
We cater to each client individually during their bison hunt at Valhalla.
