Scimitar oryx are a favorite hunt here at Valhalla Ranch due to their wild nature. Getting within 300 yards of a herd of scimitar-horned oryx is a challenge. Due to the wide-open nature of our ranch, thick brush, and rolling hills, hunters can expect to take an expert level shot between 300-500 yards at a minimum. This makes for an exciting challenge, delicious meat, and a nice trophy rack.

We have a great herd of scimitar oryx on the ranch with excellent genetics producing amazing trophy scimitar oryx every year. There are no seasonal restrictions on hunting oryx in Texas, which makes it a suitable trophy to hunt year-round.
